Floating Swarm was a peer-to-peer web surf club initiated in 2018 on the dat protocol. During one year, I invited artists to create pages hosted by themselves but linked together with a common navigation bar, following the tradition of Webrings.

The project required a peer to peer web browser called Beaker, but the software is now abandoned, leaving all the experimental projects dependant on its use, unhostable and unreachable.

Floating Swarm is one of those projects. I decided to copy the content I had to the web, for the posterity and for the invited artists.

Some of the pages remain empty (red led) as I was unfortunately unable to find their content back. Those pages are gone together with the dead dat protocol.
