FacSeq Player (Alpha), is a computer program that performs a music piece based on a family of musical instruments that formally inherit from each other. These instruments all come from a first ancestor, a one metter long aluminium tube, played like a bell. Several generations of children follow, taking the form of transverse flutes, chimes, panpipes, mbira and other idiophones. *FacSeq Player (Alpha)* plays short recorded musical sequences on these instruments by arranging them on a spatial and temporal grid.
